NexentaStor does not require anything special – the software will run on any, industry-standard storage hardware. NexentaStor will allow IT Administrators to create, combined pools of shared storage. You can combine and pool storage from a variety of storage medium, types and sizes; including SSDs and spinner drives. NexentaStor features inline deduplication, unlimited snapshots, cloning and full integration of virtualization. There is no limit to file size with NexentaStor. Other features of NexentaStor include end-to-end data integrity, integrated search functions, inline virus scanning, one-click virtual machine as well as other storage provisioning features. If you’re concerned about future expandability and useability, NexentaStor provides further functions and features via plug-ins. High Availability or HA Clustering, is provided for example, though the Cluster Plug-in. Other enhanced management and administration features are possible through the plug-in module, including virtualization suites.
ZFS File System
The heart and soul of NextaStor is its file-system technology which provides the full benefits of the ZFS Based 128-Bit File System with unlimited file size and storage capacity. NexentaStor fully supports NAS and SAN via iSCSI & FC. A few more notable features: data deduplication; native compression, hybrid storage pools, integrated snapshot search, heterogeneous block & file replication; block-level mirroring; end-to-end data integrityand simplified disk management functionality. NexentaStor pricing is based on 3 different support levels: Enterprise Platinum, Enterprise Gold and Enterprise Silver. Pricing ranges from $1725 to $4185 for 8TB of Raw storage and goes up to $9,250 to $268,000 for 1024TB of Raw Storage. There is also 16TB, 32TB and 64TB priced versions. Other products priced seperately include NexentaVSA for View, Professional Services, Plug-In Modules and Enterprise Class Schedule.
